Business leagues are associations of people with common business purposes, and they exist to improve and advance member business interests and/or support favorable business conditions.
While they sometimes conduct business directly, they are legally prohibited from distributing profits to individual members or staff.
With $98.55 million in revenue in 2015, the largest business league in Arizona is The Marine Preservation Association, which has a national scope.
The Thunderbirds, which hosts the Waste Management Phoenix Open, is the second-largest business league with $40.56 million in revenue. Several Arizona chambers of commerce and visitors and convention bureaus are also on the list of top business leagues.
