The Nonprofit Marketing and Strategic Communications Certificate is a certificate of distinction for individuals who wish to gain additional knowledge and skills in marketing, communication, public relations and social media for the nonprofit sector. Course content includes the most highly relevant topics needed to lead and manage marketing and communication strategies for nonprofit organizations. This certificate program is sharply focused on these topics in order to offer the individual a deeply engaging and robust experience.

Established experts noted for their skills and expertise will guide each course. Additionally, course colleagues who are enrolled also share best practices and offer guidance and support through an interactive, adult-learning environment.

Format

The courses are offered both in-person and online.

Online courses: Two of the certificate courses are 14 days long, with approx. 15-20 hours total over two-week course; the rest are 7 days long.

Face-to-face courses: Two of the certificate courses are 2 days long, Thursday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; the rest are half-day courses.

Cost

$800 is the package price for the entire certificate.

High Impact Leadership

During this course, participants will be introduced to current models of leadership and seven core leadership competencies. By using a self-analysis tool, you will identify your leadership strengths and core values. In addition, you will also learn methods for building internal and external relationships and applying those skills to a business setting. Finally, you will also develop a leadership action plan for achieving personal and organizational impact.

In this course, participants examine the topic of communication and its influence on the recipient. Participants review foundational communication concepts and explore additional topics including, verbal vs. nonverbal communication, communication style, self-awareness, and listening to advance their knowledge and ability to engage in purposeful communication.
