Overview:
Join our dedicated team at the American Lung Association as an intern, where you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission to improve lung health and eliminate lung disease. This internship offers hands-on experience in public health advocacy, community outreach, and organizational operations within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist with planning and executing advocacy campaigns, community events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on lung health issues, policies, and emerging trends to support data-driven decision-making and program development.
- Communications: Contribute to creating compelling content for social media, newsletters, and other communications channels that raise awareness about lung disease prevention and treatment.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide day-to-day support in the office, including scheduling, data entry, and coordination of meetings and events.
- Collaborative Work: Partner with team members across departments to support various initiatives and develop a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in public health, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with social media platforms.
- Passionate about public health, advocacy, and making a tangible impact in the community.
