OVERVIEW:

This position offers a communications professional the opportunity to work in a full-service communications department for an award-winning master-planned community. The Graphic Design and Website Coordinator’s responsibility is to create visual communications initiatives and assist in the daily execution of the website. As a contributing member of a larger team, the position will have the opportunity to collaborate on various events and projects that the Community Council sponsors.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Visual Communications

  • Provide design support for DCRanch.com, Ranch News, e-communications, and other collateral projects
  • Assist in development and production of graphic design and page layout projects
  • Create visual content that complements DC Ranch brand standards and marketing strategies
  • Oversee design projects including assigning, tracking and project management to the successful conclusion of the design deliverable
  • Collaborate with the part-time graphic design coordinator on projects
  • Ensure materials are posted, stocked, and kept current at community centers
  • Upload photos to and maintain image library
  • Resize, edit, and optimize photos for intended medium
  • Coordinate print bid requests: prepare files for print and submit to printer
  • Provide quality control over positioning and messaging of information that is communicated

Website Management

  • Optimize the DCRanch.com website experience for both residents and staff
  • Manage updates to website which include uploading documents, agendas, and images
  • Update, create and post web pages and forms
  • Ensure adherence to website best practices and DC Ranch brand standards
  • Provide login assistance to residents and technical support to team members
  • Provide back-end support for WordPress, the website content management system, and other plugins
  • Manage and maintain other communication platforms, including Mailchimp and Engage by Cell (management of backend, user lists and/or templates)
  • Upload videos to Vimeo (video hosting platform) and post on website

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES NEEDED:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Four-year degree in visual communications, graphic design, or related field
  • Three years’ experience working in a professional office setting
