OVERVIEW:

This position offers the opportunity to work in a full-service communications department for an award-winning master-planned community. The Communications Support Coordinator’s responsibility is to assist the department with resident information management, direct incoming content and design project requests, ensure that the calendar of emails, text messages, and deadlines is kept up to date, and assist with the execution and delivery of communication campaigns. The ideal candidate is highly organized and deadline oriented. They enjoy project management, ensuring assignments run on time and efficiently. This position is scheduled for 20 hours per week.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage resident information on communication platforms
  • Approve website accounts and process text message sign-ups
  • Process new residents and remove residents who have moved out
  • Update information (email, phone, mailing address, etc.) as needed
Assist with the execution and delivery of communication campaigns
  • Manage events calendar on website by creating and updating listings as needed
  • Publish provided content for review that is aligned with the editorial calendar and department priorities
  • Assist in the delivery of publications, including newsletters, e-newsletters, emails, texts, flyers, posters, calendar and other materials

Coordinate incoming and outgoing content and projects
  • Assist with management of communications calendar, including schedule of emails/texts and adding monthly deadlines and large project deadlines
  • Direct incoming content from various departments, including program descriptions, communications plans, upcoming neighborhood projects, special initiatives, etc.
  • Direct content going out for review to various departments, including emails, text and publications
  • Monitor incoming graphic design projects and add to project management system

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES NEEDED:

  • Clear and effective writing skills using proper grammar and punctuation
  • Proficiency in AP writing style a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in Wordpress a plus, but not required
  • Naturally initiative-taking, self-motivated and self-managed
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow-up with requests in an efficient and timely fashion
  • Works well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines
  • Fanatical about attention to detail and consistency

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four-year degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field
  • Two to three years of experience working in a communications or marketing field
