Public Allies Arizona announces Alumni Network Workforce Academy, in partnership with the ASU Lodestar Center's Nonprofit Management Institute
August 26, 2020 (Phoenix, Ariz.) – Public Allies Arizona and the ASU Lodestar Center have announced the upcoming Public Allies Alumni Network Workforce Academy. In sponsorship with CIT Bank, 12 alumni will have the opportunity to embody the Public Allies Core Value of Continuous Learning by applying for a certificate in marketing and strategic communications through the ASU Lodestar Center's Nonprofit Management Institute.
The selected Public Allies alumni will experience this coveted certificate content and its premium placed on immediate and usable knowledge. Proven marketing and communication tools are offered in accessible ways in these courses and provide participants the opportunity to strengthen their essential communications skills, enabling them to be more successful in their nonprofit sector work. The Workforce Academy enhances the Public Allies experience for these proven successful leaders and provides alumni with an opportunity to increase their job skills and career prospects.
Public Allies Arizona is an AmeriCorps program of the ASU Lodestar Center that places dedicated, service-minded young individuals in paid 10-month apprenticeships at local nonprofit partner organizations. It launched in 2006 and now has graduated more than 400 emerging leaders.
Since 1993, the ASU Lodestar Center's Nonprofit Management Institute (NMI) has taught nonprofit professionals the most up-to-date trends affecting the sector today; how to lead and manage staff, volunteers and board members more effectively; and how to make strategic planning, marketing, fundraising and resource development work for you.
