In the news: Alums help kids in need through Child Crisis Arizona
November 4, 2023 — Two dads, Justin Duran and EJ Hughes, are doing everything they can to help the children of Arizona after meeting in at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale as teens. Now they are working with Child Crisis Arizona to expand their services to include art therapy, counseling services, and health and wellness programs, using the skills they learned during their certificate programs through the ASU Lodestar Center. Duran and Hughes have built more capacity into Child Crisis Arizona so they can now get help to over 9,000 kids in the state who need it. What started out as a friendship decades ago has turned into a lasting legacy for both men.
