We Require

  • One year of experience performing clerical duties

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Clerical and/or customer service experience in a law office, judicial, or law enforcement environment

Job Contributions

  • Create and send electronic initial discovery packets

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional accuracy

  • Retrieve case information from various databases, including Court database, Superior Court database, among others

  • Pull case files from electronic calendars and assign cases for discovery packet creation

  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, bureau leads and defense counsel via telephone and email

  • Perform criminal history/criminal records checks and bureau-specific data entry

  • Maintain a current Terminal Operator Certification with Department of Public Safety

  • Assist with document delivery runs between downtown buildings

  • Update discovery log, upload discovery, and scan documents

Working Conditions

  • Mostly office setting in high volume, fast-paced environment

  • Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities

  • Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings and trainings, utilizing personal or county vehicle

  • Ability to lift boxes and pull mailcart weighing 25 – 40 pounds

  • Hybrid and alternative work schedules are available upon successful completion of the 6-12-month probationary period

Qualifications
