Nature of Work

The Applications Developer is a critical part of our Technology team responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Enterprise Applications. This role will be predominantly focused on Salesforce development and integrations with our other core applications; Sage Intacct, Foundant, Outlook, Teams, Pardot / Account Engagement, etc. While technical experience is important for this role, communication and customer service are equally as important. In this role, you will be required to work with process analysts and business teams for each enhancement we make. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with each of these groups and ensure our technology team is an approachable and consistent partner across the organization. We are looking for an experienced developer that understands the power behind the Salesforce platform as well as the impact the Enterprise Applications ecosystem has for our customers, internal and external, and on our overall mission.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design and develop custom applications, features, and integrations within the Salesforce platform and other Enterprise Applications.
  • Collaborate with process analysts and project teams to analyze requirements and develop implementation plans.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications/ implementation plans, architecture diagrams, test plans, and user guides.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of Salesforce solutions through rigorous testing and debugging.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues escalated from our support team.
  • Ensuring security protocols are followed and assisting with the implementation of cybersecurity measures.
  • Monitoring system performance and reporting on any recurring issues or patterns observed.
  • Staying current with technology trends and advancements to provide informed support and recommendations.

Qualifications

Knowledge or Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology and/or active Salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I or II, Integration Architect, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development
  • Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning components, and other Salesforce development tools
  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, and Bulk API)
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, limitations, and database design principles.
  • Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure preferred)
  • Experience with Workato or similar integration partner preferred
  • Knowledge of web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently as a self-starter with a drive to continuously learn.

Other Requirements

This position functions as a remote position with occasional travel to regional offices. Required to travel to the central Phoenix office once a month.
