A New Leaf is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Fundraising Content Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with the Communications Manager to develop and implement content that supports our annual donor communications, website, and social media strategies. You will assist in crafting compelling content across multiple platforms, including newsletters, appeals, blog posts, and social media, while also supporting the design and execution of multichannel marketing campaigns. 

Hourly Pay Range: $21.63 - $24.04
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm
Location: Mesa, AZ

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:  

  • Work with Communications Manager to plan, write and implement content components to fulfill our annual donor communications, website, and social media strategies. 
  • Writing drafts of quarterly appeals, newsletters, direct mailers, call scripts, etc. 
  • Assist with writing blog content, social media posts, digital newsletter and more. 
  • Assist with drafting ad copy and design for multichannel campaigns 
  • Manage general community communications strategy with all community stakeholders, while maintaining a culture of philanthropy mindset. 
  • Assist with program marketing materials that influence philanthropic giving 
  • Develop in-house assets (based on program work) that can be used for fundraising purposes 
  • Coordinate content development with internal and external visual design partners and vendors. 
  • Provide writing and editing skills to support our overall organizational needs such as speech writing, press releases, interviews, and event content. 
  • Capture video and photo content for communications strategy. 
  • Will include editing of content using the Adobe Suite 
  • Maintain and develop digital collateral library in an organized, user-friendly manner.  Monitor access to library and content usage. 
  • Provide final edits and finished communication media on all content projects to Communications Manager.  
  • Assist with creating, designing, editing, and updating website pages using WordPress. 
  • Support development of website and social media plan and strategy for the Agency. 
  • Assist with social media management, posting, engagement, and content strategy.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Political Science, or other related degree in the Humanities, required. 

Experience:

  • Experience in content and communication development.
  • Strong understanding of print and digital fundraising strategies.
  • Experience developing communication strategy and conceptual design of campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress, preferred.
  • Experience working in Hootsuite or other social media content management tools, preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance
  • CLEAN 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
