Summary: The Executive Director of the Casa Grande Alliance (CGA, Inc.) is the organizational leader responsible for overseeing the operations, finances, and programs of CGA.   The ED provides guidance and strategic direction to achieve our mission and goals. The Executive Director manages staff and volunteers, leads fundraising efforts, and maintains relationships with stakeholders. The ED oversees financial management, develops policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Our ED also collaborates with the board of directors, develops strategic plans, and represents the organization to the public. Overall, the ED’s role drives the CGA’s success and makes a positive impact in the families and communities we serve. 

About the Casa Grande Community Resiliency Coalition and CGA, Inc.

The Casa Grande Community Resiliency Coalition is a 30+ member community-based prevention and resiliency development coalition that was founded in 1989. In December 2007, the coalition formed a nonprofit, charitable organization to serve as the organizational arm of the coalition. Until recently, the focus of CGA, Inc. has been to provide prevention education and awareness services, treatment resource information, coalition mentoring and administrative support to the Casa Grande Alliance and other prevention coalitions. These coalitions provide a framework to critical issues through effective prevention strategies.

With increased knowledge of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), we are transitioning to becoming a more trauma informed and responsive organization that focuses on building strengths-based and protective services within the community. WHAT WE DO - We provide trauma-responsive prevention education programming and services, youth coalition leadership, and treatment and recovery resource navigation. Our community coalitions represent a network of organizations dedicated to building individual, family, and community resiliency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to the Board of Directors for the organization’s overall operation and management. 
  2. Supervises all staff. 
  3. Fiscal manager. 
  4. Program development and management. 
  5. Community liaison. 
  6. Monitors and reports on all program activities to funding sources. 
  7. Data management and research oversight.
  8. Work with outside evaluators as needed. 
  9. Works independently on all phases of program implementation, management and continuous improvement. 
  10. Community outreach. 
  11. Establish and grow partnerships.
  12. Works with the Coalition to develop and implement prevention activities, community events, and materials such as newsletters/brochures/flyers. 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Competencies:  Bachelor’s Degree, five (5) years work experience in prevention related area, or a combination of education and experience that adequately prepares the individual for the position.  Business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammatical usage.  Filing and record keeping.  Ability to represent the organization in a professional and appropriate manner.  Follow written and verbal instructions.  Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.  Knowledge and experience with grant writing and grant management across local, state and federal funding sources.   Occasional local, county, state and national travel required.  

Preferred Special Competencies: Prevention field, community mobilization and prevention planning, health education, cultural competence, data and evaluation, substance use disorder treatment and recovery.  Knowledges of National Service and AmeriCorps Program Management. Knowledge of service area.

Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English encouraged.

Computer Skills: Exhibit knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Excel, etc.), online platforms (Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, Canva, Grant Management platforms, etc).
