Position description
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (www.stpaulsumctucson.org), a well-established, open and affirming congregation of 250+ members in Tucson, Arizona, is looking for a full-time Director of Family Ministries. The director will strengthen church-based age-level ministries for children, creatively build ministries geared toward family participation, and develop opportunities for the congregation to connect with families of our local community. The Director will work on staff with the Lead Pastor, a Director overseeing Youth Ministries for three local congregations, and an Administrative Assistant.
Our candidate will need to bring high levels of passion and energy for supporting the many different aspects of our church’s ministry to children and their families. Our hope is to find a Director who, in addition to programming, can build a team of volunteers that can work within a unified vision.
