Scope of the Arizona Nonprofit Sector

Business leagues

Business leagues are associations of people with common business purposes, and they exist to improve and advance member business interests and/or support favorable business conditions.

While they sometimes conduct business directly, they are legally prohibited from distributing profits to individual members or staff.

With $96.14 million in revenue in 2022, the largest business league in Arizona is the Marine Preservation Association, which has a national scope.

The State Bar of Arizona, with $18.22 million in revenue, is the second-largest business league in Arizona. Several Arizona chambers of commerce and visitors and convention bureaus are also on the list of top business leagues.
