Position Summary:

The Clinical Services Leader will ensure operational excellence in our Outpatient and Residential Therapy program. This position provides clinical supervision and direct supervision of all Chrysalis Therapists. This position will ensure consistent development of quality client care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, professional standards and requirements. This position also holds the necessary licensure required by the Arizona Department of Health Services to provide Behavioral Health Services at Chrysalis Sites. This position supports and helps implement the trauma informed care principles along with the agency core values of empowerment, safety, integrity, excellence, innovation, and compassion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides direct clinical supervision and oversight to the Outpatient Therapists, Residential Therapists, and Interns as it pertains to working with victims of abuse

• Provides coaching, management, and support to Therapists and Interns with empathy and openness

• Collaborates within Chrysalis programs and staff to coordinate services for victims with confidentiality and respect

• Monitors and ensures Therapists are completing continued education/training requirements, supporting innovation and learning

• Assists as needed in community outreach and education to share Chrysalis services with victims of abuse

• Participates in/cultivates a learning environment centered on safety and integrity

• Ensures completion of required reports and documentation and maintaining client files in accordance with Chrysalis’ policies and procedures and licensure

• Follows and maintains all ethical and professional guidelines set forth in Chrysalis’ policies and procedures, as well as licensure, and the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners

• Performs empathetic crisis phone counseling, screening, assessment, and referrals

• Performs intake assessments, individual, and group counseling with child and adult victims of domestic violence as a backup to therapist if needed.

• Opportunity to maintain a small counseling case load of child and adult victims of domestic violence

• Participates in continuing professional development to promote excellence and innovation

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Core Competencies:
• Excellent understanding of empirically supported behavior health practices/modalities

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in varied situations with integrity

• Demonstrate adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct

• Interpret information to make decisions and recommendations with innovative solutions

. • Ability to function well in crisis situations

Experience Requirements:

• Graduate degree or higher in counseling, social work, or other behavioral health program

• Must have an active independent license approved by AZBBHE, LCSW or LPC required

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with survivors of trauma (DV preferred)

• Minimum of two years’ experience providing staff and/or program supervision

• Must be able to provide clinical supervision in compliance with AZBBHE guidelines

• Experience with individual and group counseling

• Must be 21 years of age

Other Requirements:

Must provide own transportation and automobile insurance and have the ability to travel throughout the community; Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance as required by Chrysalis and ADHS licensure requirements; must maintain current TB Testing, CPR and first aid training as required by Chrysalis policies; May be required to move equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. and to ascend/descend stairs.
