Position description
Job Purpose: The Donor and Database Associate is responsible for advancing and supporting the fundraising efforts to advance the mission of Maggie’s Place. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and enhancing the use of the organization’s donor database, including gift entry and acknowledgment, queries and reporting, and records management and review. This position also supports special events, marketing and other important efforts to serve and engage stakeholders which include donors, board and staff. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:

Maintain all database operating procedures in accordance with Maggie’s Place guidelines and policies.

Process all donations and create/coordinate gift acknowledgements.
-
Create and manage pledges, including pledge reminder letters.
-
Create new constituent records, both individual and organizational.
-
Review and update records regularly to maintain database integrity.
-
Provide regular gift reporting and analysis to staff including queries, exports and reports on an ongoing and as needed basis.

Work with the finance team to ensure all gifts and payments are recorded accurately.

Create and manage event records and registrations.

Manage software capabilities and opportunities and determine the best use of features that accomplish Maggie’s Place goals.

Respond to all donor inquiries via email, phone, and written correspondence in a timely manner.

Assist the VP of Philanthropy with cultivation and stewardship of new and current donors and help plan, manage and execute donor appreciation events.

Handle all calls and email inquiries related to donor accounts, donations and acknowledgements.

Manage in-kind gifts ensuring proper coding for audit purposes.

Assist with special events, marketing and initiatives within the Development Team.

Perform other duties as assigned, which may be updated as needed
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable combination of education and work experience.

Data driven with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred.

Strong attention to detail and effective organizational, problem-solving, time-management and analytical skills.

Demonstrate ability to work independently and to take initiative.

Strong positive interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Solution driven and a strong work ethic.

Must be comfortable in a highly collaborative team environment.

Additional Requirements:

Must possess or have regular access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.

Must possess a valid Arizona driver license and active auto insurance.

Must be able to comply and meet the national and state criminal background check, national sex offender registry, level one fingerprint clearance card, and a Motor Vehicle Records check as required by Maggie’s Place.

Ability to lift 30 lbs is required.
