Position description

Posting last updated 3 days 2 hours ago

At Stardust, our circular economy solutions have a big impact on people’s daily lives.  We do it by providing quality reclaimed materials for reuse that help our planet, our community, and people in need. We will not rest until everybody knows just how much our Phoenix-based non-profit organization really does to create a future without waste ─ a sustainable community where resources are reused or redistributed. Help us make an even bigger difference.

We are seeking a qualified Director of Programs to manage a diverse group of existing programs and grow a new initiative. This individual will be involved in program development and establishing relationships to support state-wide growth. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and promote Stardust’s brand and valuable programs that have resulted in more than 100 million pounds of reusable materials diverted from the waste stream. Highly skilled at program operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.

As our Director of Programs you will

  • Oversee implementation and daily operations of Stardust’s programs
  • Ensure program alignment with Stardust mission, goals, budget and contractual obligations.
  • Take a lead role in the development of The Resource Collective a new initiative of Stardust.
  • Define policies, procedures, and system standards, and act as a facilitator to ensure services and best practices are shared across all programs.
  • Work collaboratively with non-profit sector leaders to ensure essential materials are out to use in our community.
  • Track performance, and report metrics.
