We are seeking a full-time Bilingual West Valley Program Coordinator to help expand our free mental health education, support, and outreach programs throughout West Valley communities.
Position: Bilingual West Valley Program Coordinator
Pay: $22–$27/hour, based on experience
Location: Community-based throughout the West Valley
Language: Professional fluency in English and Spanish required
Schedule: Generally Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help bring NAMI programs directly into West Valley communities by:
Building relationships with schools, hospitals, libraries, faith communities, behavioral health providers, municipalities, nonprofits, and other community partners
Establishing and supporting NAMI peer and family support groups, including Spanish-language programming
Coordinating mental health education presentations in local middle and high schools
Conducting bilingual community outreach
Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers
Connecting individuals and families with NAMI programs and community resources
Helping us identify where mental health education and support are needed most
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is a relationship-builder and self-starter who is comfortable working out in the community and passionate about reducing barriers to mental health support.
Candidates should have professional fluency in English and Spanish, at least two years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout the West Valley.
Experience working with Spanish-speaking communities, community-based mental health programs, schools, nonprofits, or volunteer-led programs is especially valuable.
