Rev. Rick Wilson
Rev. Rick Wilson is the Rector of the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew. Serving as Rector at St. Matthew’s for 13 years, he began as Priest-in-Charge under Special Circumstances five months before his call. Within the Diocese of Arizona, he has been on the Standing Committee, the Arizona Board of Examining Chaplains, Church Assistance Committee, and Diocesan Creation Care Council. In November 202, he completed a three year term as Deacon of the Tuscon Corridor Deanery.
Previous to his holy orders being received into the Episcopal Church, he was employed as a Fund Development professional with Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, Bridgepointe (dual affiliate of Easter Seals and Goodwill) and Volunteers of America of Kentucky and Tennessee. Achievements within the fundraising community include serving as president of the Tucson Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and having earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) status. He received a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (Early Church History emphasis) and Master of Divinity at the University of St. Mary of the Lake.
In April 2021 and March 2022, he served as the Faith Respondent on Stewardship for the Best Skills, Best Churches presentation for the Diocese of Northern California.
