The Rev. Canon Richard N. Morrison
Richard Morrison is a lawyer and a priest, with an undergraduate degree in Business Management. Richard is now retired, but as a deacon or priest served four congregations in Arizona from 1997 through 2018. Prior to becoming a priest, his diaconal ministry involved legal services to refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Richard retired on the staff of the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona as the Canon for Ecumenical and Community Relations and as the Episcopal chaplain to the Arizona legislature. He is also a former Chancellor for the Diocese of Arizona, served as the Chair of the Canons Committee for 20 years, and was a Deputy to the General Convention 2006-2009. Richard has served three seminaries as a trustee, and was Chair of the Board of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2015.
In his ecumenical and interfaith work, Richard was the representative of The Episcopal Church on the board of directors of the Arizona Faith Network, where he was its liaison to the United Religions Initiative.
