Total Presence Management is partnering with The Foster Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families on the foster care journey, to hire a Development Manager based in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is a strategic, relationship-driven role responsible for managing donor portfolios, cultivating corporate partnerships, and driving fundraising growth to support the organization’s mission.

The Foster Alliance supports the foster care community in Arizona and New Mexico by providing essential resources to children on the foster care journey. The organization is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Position Overview

The Development Manager will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward contributions in support of The Foster Alliance. This role works closely with leadership, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen donor engagement and expand fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and community partners
  • Develop donor engagement strategies based on giving history and donor interests
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned donor relationships

Donor Research and Tracking

  • Track donor engagement, activity, and pipeline in Salesforce
  • Monitor donor trends and report on fundraising progress
  • Identify and qualify new donor prospects

Corporate and In-Kind Partnerships

  • Develop and expand corporate and in-kind partnership opportunities
  • Research and manage high-value partnership pipelines
  • Steward existing partnerships in accordance with organizational standards

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership and development team members on fundraising strategy
  • Support occasional community events and engagement initiatives
  • Maintain strong communication across teams and stakeholders

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working with donors, volunteers, or community partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings and events
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed
     

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of fundraising or relationship-based sales experience
  • Experience with corporate giving, individual giving, or grant fundraising preferred
  • Understanding of donor motivation and engagement strategies
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred
  • Previous nonprofit experience preferred
