The Academy Program Manager (High School) supports the Mission and Values of Hope Ignites Phoenix in carrying out their responsibility for the overall operation of the Academy Programs for scholars, including school year and summer programs.  Major tasks include program management, recruiting and public relations, selection of and monitoring of scholars, and administrative tasks related to smooth program operation.  The Academy Program Manager oversees volunteers assigned to and provides direct service to scholars in the non-residential Academy Program.  The Academy Program Manager reports to the Program Director. 

Bilingual fluent in Spanish and English required. 

Please Note: The anticipated start date of this position is May 4th, 2026.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Guidance and Counseling, Human Services Administration, Sociology, Education, or a related human services field and/or two years’ experience in child welfare, educational or youth development program is required.
  • Comfortable Driving a 15 passenger van
  • A Valid Arizona Driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Successful completion of all required state and federal background checks.
  • Applicant must be 21 years of age.  Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and data entry skills
  • Ability to work well both as a team and independently
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with adolescents, their guardians or parents, supervisees, co-workers and supervisors, teachers and other audiences verbally and in writing
