Inaugural Service Enterprise cohort completes training
The Arizona Service Enterprise program at the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation graduated its inaugural class today. This exemplary distinction signifies that participating organizations have the capability and management expertise to strategically use volunteers to improve the performance of their organization.
Congratulations to House of Refuge, Civitan Foundation, Inc., East Valley Adult Resources, Power Paws Assistance Dogs, Maryvale Revitalization Corporation, Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun, Swift Youth Foundation, Sonoran Arts League and Global Ties Arizona on accomplishing this incredible milestone in their organizations' histories.

In collaboration with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family, and Points of Light, the ASU Lodestar Center invites qualified organizations to participate in the Service Enterprise program. Service Enterprise is a national program that provides training and accreditation to selected nonprofits that are committed to implementing exemplary volunteer management practices to achieve their missions.
Ninety-two percent of participants said their organization was better equipped to engage volunteers to meet their mission, while 80 percent reported an increase in both traditional and skill-based volunteers, averaging a 23 percent annual increase in volunteers.
