- OverviewThe overall objective of this position is to administer Center programs, uphold HWC policies, to coordinate volunteer involvement, serve clients in crisis, to share the mission and vision of the Center and build relationships with community groups, churches, businesses, and partnering organizations. This position is a direct report to the Director of Operations but also works closely with Hope’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Position Summary:
The overall objective of this position is to administer Center programs, uphold HWC policies, to coordinate volunteer involvement, serve clients in crisis, to share the mission and vision of the Center and build relationships with community groups, churches, businesses, and partnering organizations. This position is a direct report to the Director of Operations but also works closely with Hope’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Christ and maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of HWC.
- Faithfully upholds the ministry of HWC in prayer.
- Participates in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for all Center programs.
- Follow and ensure adherence to Hope Women’s Center policies and procedures at Center.
- Administer the “on the job” training of all volunteers at Center and works with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure they have completed online training requirements.
- Manage Center staff & volunteers including administrative and programming staff (as applicable per center).
- In conjunction with Director of Programs, evaluate programs for effectiveness, meeting community needs and Center goals.
- Meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) with the Director of Operations to review program effectiveness, goals, client issues/concerns, and staff or volunteer performance.
- Meet monthly with the CEO and other HWC Team Members for leadership development, program planning, and cross training purposes.
- Meet regularly with Center staff (if applicable) & key volunteers to discuss programs, challenges, conflicts, schedules, strategies, and goals. Provide direct program supervision and crisis services as required.
- Monitor facilities upkeep and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Communicate client stories, events, volunteer highlights and ministry “wins” to HWC Development Team.
- Facilitate client events to increase community exposure.
- Cross train on all center roles - mentoring, teaching classes, running boutique and children’s program to be able to fill in as needed.
- Admin Duties (completion of monthly education program schedule, monthly communication with all volunteers, monthly report for CEO, etc).
- Manage daily Center teacher & children’s program assignments and make substitute arrangements, as needed.
- Assist with teaching classes as needed and regularly observe and evaluate teachers and children’s program volunteers (assess class, relationship to overall mission).
- Encourage the organization and orderliness of the classrooms & children’s program by volunteers.
- Solicit community partnerships with other non-profits and churches, etc., to further mission and vision of HWC (in coordination with CEO and Development Team).
- Willing to do other duties as assigned.

- Leadership skills, problem solving capabilities, conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional manner while interacting with Hope Women’s Center staff, volunteers and community members
- Be self-motivated and self-directed with the ability and desire to take projects from beginning to completion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills required
- Must agree with HWC’s Statement of Faith
Job Qualifications
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Has a servant heart
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, business, communications or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three years prior experience supervising and managing employees or volunteers
- Experience in non-profit organization preferred
- May be required to work a flexible schedule within the allotted hours including some evenings and Saturdays.
