Position Purpose

Member of the Development team that helps drive the Garden fundraising programs through donor

engagement, stewardship, and fulfillment. This position will ensure donors are receiving appropriate

philanthropic benefits from their support, articulate impact to donors and utilize the Garden’s Customer

Relationship Management software to build and maintain donor relationships.

Pay: $24.80 - $34.70/hr, Non-Exempt


 

Essential Duties

• Ensure fulfillment of corporate sponsorship benefits and in-kind benefits to include: fulfillment

of discount, ticket, recognition, and engagement benefits.

• Set-up and manage internal Corporate Days with processes to include internal and external

communications to ensure donor expectations are met.

• Field and manage inquiries from corporations for volunteer experiences.

• Generate Impact reports for donors that detail outcomes for select events, exhibits, and

programs. Reports will also detail information about the Garden’s audience, such as

demographics and marketing reach as needed.

• Respond to all donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all communications

align with the Garden’s stewardship standards.

• Coordinate with internal staff and donors on logistical details related to Dinner on the Desert

donor fulfillment to include coordination with board committee on donor lists and engagement

with donors to facilitate donation and table coordination.

• Assist with grant proposal preparation as needed.

 

Qualifications

Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of three years related work experience in

fundraising, donor or customer relations, or non-profit administration or comparable

combination of education and experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and editing and

proofreading skills.

• Ability to successfully coordinate meetings.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-

paced team environment.

Job Description

• Proficiency with MS Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM

(Salesforce).

• Talent for building relationships.

• Passion for non-profit work and commitment to the Garden’s mission. with a discretion of

confidential information and professional integrity.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.

• Comfortable working in an open office environment.

• Database management experience, skills with data analysis and segmentation, and experience

working with executives and/or high net worth individuals preferred.
