Position description
Role Description: As Cowtown S.K.A.T.E. continues to expand its mission, our team must grow as well. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for spearheading the fiscal growth of the organization by collaborating with the Executive Director and Contracted Grant writer. This includes supporting and organizing fundraising campaign efforts, leading donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, managing of the organization’s donor database and assisting in grant writing.
The Development Coordinator is a charismatic, sociable individual who enjoys engaging with stakeholders at every level, from volunteers to corporate donors in a professional and relatable manner. This person enjoys staying engaged by working on a multitude of projects simultaneously, sometimes with other team members.

Role Duties:
- Manage and build upon on the organization’s current donor database
- Responsible for the development and implementation of best practices for donor engagement, stewardship and retention
- Engage with organization’s current donors and develops relationships with prospective donors to drive support
- Coordinate with the Executive Director on the planning and implementation of annual fundraising campaigns and events
- Analyze fundraising and donor data to create monthly reports for the organization’s leadership
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers and board members to identify and secure funding opportunities
- Assist in creation of fundraising materials
- Communicate with donors, sponsors and partners to build and maintain relationships
- Assist with budget management and forecasting development needs for the organization
- Plan and implement short and long term development initiatives in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan
- Collaborate with the brand and marketing team to create compelling messaging and content for fundraising campaigns and public facing communications
- Help foster a positive, inclusive organizational culture.
- Assist and leads in researching, writing and submitting grant proposals and applications
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful nonprofit development/fundraising experience
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Demonstrated ability in securing major grants and gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other private funding sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Instrumentl and other CRM platforms including Google Workspace/Suite
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a small, fast paced team environment
- Detail oriented mindset with strong problem solving skills
- Deep understanding of the development or non-profit sector
- Ability to work independently and within a small team environment
Relevant Qualifications:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people ranging from executive leadership to donors and volunteers
- Familiarity with fundraising techniques and donor relationship management
- Database management experience
- Grant writing experience
- Passion for nonprofit work and a commitment to the organization's mission

Work Environment:
The work environment is hybrid, in the office three (3) days weekly, with the opportunity to work remotely two (2) days per week as agreed upon with your supervisor.
This position reports to and meets regularly with the Executive Director.
