Enrichment Center Coordinator
(Administration, Communications & Volunteer Support)
Part-Time | 20–25 Hours per Week
Reports to: Executive Director

Position Overview
The Enrichment Center Coordinator supports DSNetwork’s mission by keeping the Enrichment Center running smoothly as a welcoming, well-organized hub for families, self-advocates, volunteers, and community partners. The role provides administrative, communications, volunteer coordination, and event-planning support to help programs and events run effectively and consistently.
This position is well-suited to a highly organized, mission-driven professional who enjoys variety in their work, collaborates well, and is comfortable working independently while taking initiative. The Coordinator manages day-to-day coordination and preparation, partnering with the Executive Director and broader community as needed.
Success in this role looks like clear, timely communication, volunteers who feel informed and appreciated, and programs and events that are well-supported behind the scenes—contributing directly to a positive, impactful community experience.
This is a part-time role averaging approximately 20 hours per week, increasing to up to 25 hours per week during peak event seasons (approximately 10 weeks per year).
Work Schedule & Location
Required In-Office Hours (Based on current program schedules; subject to adjustment as programs evolve)
- Tuesdays: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM (end time may vary for scheduled programming)
- Thursdays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (end time may vary for scheduled programming)
Flexible Remote Hours
Approximately 4–6 hours per week, scheduled remotely for administrative, communications, and digital tasks.
Peak Event Seasons (Approximately 10 Weeks per Year)
During peak periods, hours may increase to approximately 25 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Key Responsibilities
Enrichment Center Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for calls, emails, and visitors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office and enrichment center
- Assist with supply ordering and office organization
- Prepare and mail materials, including new parent packets, outreach items, and merchandise orders
- Coordinate self-advocates, volunteers, and interns supporting enrichment center tasks
Administrative Support to the Executive Director
- Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director, including calendar coordination, document preparation, and meeting logistics as needed
- Assist with the preparation of board or committee materials and basic reporting support
- Support internal tracking and organization of priorities, deadlines, and follow-ups
- Assist with donor mailings, acknowledgments, and administrative tasks supporting fundraising and stewardship efforts
- Support monthly financial data entry as directed
Communications & Digital Support
- Draft and assemble monthly newsletters using Mailchimp templates and provided content
- Create Canva graphics, digital flyers, and short-form visual content
- Create short videos for social media and digital use (e.g., reels, stories, or simple clips from events and programs)
- Upload and schedule social media content
- Update event listings, photos, and calendars on the WordPress website
- Support donor stewardship communications, including thank-you messages, acknowledgments, and follow-up communications
- Track donor communications, acknowledgments, and engagement notes in CRM
- Maintain contact lists, subscriber updates, and event registration data in CRM
Volunteer Coordination & Community Engagement
- Recruit, organize, and schedule volunteers for programs, events, office tasks, and special projects
- Maintain volunteer rosters, shifts, confirmations, and communications
- Build positive relationships with participants, donors, community groups, sponsors, and partners
- Represent DSNetwork at occasional outreach fairs or community events
Event Support
- Assist with event registration, communications, lists, and reminders
- Coordinate volunteer staffing and provide on-site volunteer support and training
- Assist with event-day logistics
- Provide photos, content, or recaps for post-event communications
- Support follow-up communications with participants and volunteers
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in nonprofit administration, communications support, volunteer coordination, or program assistance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM databases, Google Workspace, Canva, Mailchimp, and basic WordPress editing
- Experience creating short-form video content for social media using a smartphone or basic editing tools
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple workflows in a collaborative environment
- Comfort working with individuals with Down syndrome and developmental disabilities
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, human services, or a related field
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Compensation
- $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience
- Approximately 20 hours per week, increasing to up to 25 hours per week during peak seasons
Additional Requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (required within 60 days of hire)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (reasonable accommodations may be made)
