Summary:

Come join Scottsdale Arts as a Protection Services Officer. Help us ensure the safety and protection of staff, guests, and artworks while providing a more meaningful art experience.
Important Details to Know:
• Compensation: $18.54/hour
• Shift/Hours: Thursdays: 11am – 7pm, Saturdays: 11am – 5pm. May be asked to pick up additional shifts during the day, including weekends, and some evening shifts.
• Job Type: Part-time, non-benefitted
• Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Here is what you will get to do:
· Interact with guests, patrons, and staff, answering questions, providing directions, and more.
· Enforce Protection Services policies and protocols during building hours, events, and when the facilities are closed.
· Assist with facilities opening, ensuring everything is ready to conduct business safely and/or ensuring the buildings are secured and closed at the end of the day.
· Ensure wellbeing of artworks and other assets.

Qualifications

Here is what you will need to be successful:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· General computer, software, and phone apps capabilities. · Interest in the arts. · Clear, open, and respectful communication. · Ability to effectively interact in one-on-one and small group situations. · Ability to problem solve, carry out instructions, and utilize appropriate judgment (i.e., understanding of when to reach out to appropriate personnel or contacts, when to notify emergency personnel, etc.)


Bonus if you have the following:
· Customer Service experience · Public Facility security experience. · CPR/First Aid Certification · Certification by the Department of Public Safety as a security officer
