ASU Lodestar Center honors Fall 2017 Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management graduates and inducts next class of Nu Lambda Mu Honor Society
Phoenix, Ariz. (Nov. 4, 2017) – On November 4th at the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University, the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation and the ASU School of Community Resources & Development celebrated the newest graduates of the ASU Master of Nonprofit Leadership & Management (MNLM) program with “A Day of Learning: Nonprofit Research to Practice” event.
The day featured MNLM Fall 2017 graduates as they presented their “Capstone Projects” which included results of their inquiry into selected critical issues facing the nonprofit sector, as well as their management recommendations to the field of practice.
The day also honored 12 master’s degree candidates and alumni as they were inducted into the Fall 2017 Class of the ASU Chapter of the Nu Lambda Mu international honor society – a special national honor society for graduate students specifically in nonprofit programs. The society was established in 2012 by the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) to recognize students dedicated to the study of nonprofit management, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship and enterprise. Nu Lambda Mu seeks to advance the study of nonprofit organizations and their function in society, and to promote scholarly achievement among those who engage in these academic pursuits.
