About Fighter Country Foundation
Fighter Country Foundation (FCF) is the leading support and advocacy group for the men, women, families, and mission of Luke Air Force Base. We provide critical resources and services that enhance morale, culture, tradition, and long-term sustainability for Luke AFB, home of the F-35 Lightning II.
Position Overview
The Development Director will spearhead revenue generation and financial stewardship efforts to support Luke AFB’s mission. This role works alongside leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, and community partners to ensure the Foundation thrives and continues to meet the needs of Airmen and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute a multi-channel fundraising strategy, including grants, corporate partnerships, individual major gifts, and specialty campaigns (such as the FCF License Plate Program).
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.
- Oversee campaigns and events that enhance community engagement and philanthropic support.
Strategy & Oversight
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting related to development efforts.
- Collaborate with the Treasurer and Executive Director to monitor financial health and provide accurate insights.
- Ensure grant compliance, reporting, and timely invoicing in collaboration with program staff.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between Luke AFB and the broader community; communicate the Luke mission through compelling stories and campaigns.
- Represent FCF at donor meetings, community gatherings, and special events.
Board Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide regular fundraising and financial development updates to the Board and Executive Director.
- Support Board members in donor engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Database, Systems & Analytics
- Manage the donor CRM system; ensure accurate tracking of contributions and engagement.
- Use data-driven analysis to refine fundraising strategies and maximize impact.
Event & Campaign Management
- Lead and support fundraising events, community campaigns, and awareness initiatives.
- Ensure all campaigns align with FCF’s mission of supporting Luke AFB.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of nonprofit development or financial management experience.
- Proven success in fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, and achieving revenue targets.
- Proficiency with financial reporting, budgeting, and grant compliance.
- Experience with donor management/CRM systems and data-driven fundraising. (Bloomerang preferred)
- Strong commitment to the mission of Fighter Country Foundation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, finance, business, or related field (preferred but not required).
- AFP membership, or other professional fundraising credentials.
- Prior experience with military, veterans, or defense-related nonprofits.
- Strong storytelling and leadership skills.
