Nonprofit Operations and Program Impact Certificate

The Nonprofit Operations and Program Impact Certificate is a certificate of distinction for individuals who wish to gain additional knowledge and skills in operational leadership, program impact and evaluation, developing volunteers, purposeful communication and more! Course content includes the most highly relevant topics needed to manage the operations of a nonprofit organization, as well as how to design, launch and evaluate effective programs that matter to the community.

The NMI 227: Strategic Planning Boot Camp provides participants with an intensive, hands-on experience using the most current practices for effective strategic planning in any nonprofit organization. The course focuses on strategic business aspects of a nonprofit organization.

During this course, participants will be introduced to current models of leadership and seven core leadership competencies. By using a self-analysis tool, you will identify your leadership strengths and core values. In addition, you will also learn methods for building internal and external relationships and applying those skills to a business setting. Finally, you will also develop a leadership action plan for achieving personal and organizational impact.

This course is conducted as a hybrid course with asynchronous (self-paced) learning via the online ASU Canvas system with a weekly, two-hour synchonous (set time) Zoom presentation with the course Instructor.

The NMI 227 course will run from February 24, 2020 - March 8, 2020.

In this course, participants evaluate the topic of change to advance their capacity to effectively champion change within their organization. Participants discuss the underlying motivations and roles of change and examine established models to devise change management plans for overcoming obstacles and implementing change within their organization.
