ASU Lodestar Center welcomes Jaclyn Pederson, CEO of Feeding Matters, as Leadership Council Chair

Jaclyn Pederson, CEO of Feeding Matters, has been named Leadership Council Chair of the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation, which educates, empowers and connects nonprofit leaders to accelerate social impact.

Jaclyn has served on the Leadership Council since 2018 and has an extensive history with the Center and Arizona State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and a Master of Healthcare Innovation, both from ASU, and also earned the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance during her time at the university.

Since becoming CEO in 2020, Jaclyn has guided Feeding Matters through a period of unprecedented growth—expanding partnerships, elevating the voice of families, and championing the recognition of feeding development as a critical part of early childhood. Feeding Matters is the national and international nonprofit leading the movement to transform the system of care for children with feeding disorders and differences, including Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

In recent years, the organization has advanced initiatives including the Person and Family-Centered Feeding Research Consortium, the It’s Not Picky Eating national awareness campaign, and Navigating the Overlap, a consensus effort to breakdown silos in feeding disorder intervention.

Housed within Arizona State University’s Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and its School of Community Resources and Development, the ASU Lodestar Center’s mission is to build the capacity of the social sector by enhancing the effectiveness of those who lead, manage and support nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. For nearly 30 years, the ASU Lodestar Center has provided education, research, practical tools and convenings for nonprofit professionals, philanthropists and volunteers who seek to solve problems and realize their communities’ highest aspirations.

The ASU Lodestar Center’s Leadership Council is a group of nonprofit, community and business leaders who are committed to the social sector, champion the Center’s work and guide its strategic direction to meet the sector’s needs in Arizona and beyond.
