Generation Next Nonprofit Leadership Academy
"Generation Next provides a carefully crafted, university-caliber experience for nonprofit management staffers. How fortunate Arizona nonprofits are to have such an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in the company of colleagues and experts in the field. I have kept my very valuable binder full of notes and contacts handy for reference. Running a nonprofit is an evolutionary process and GenNext is a perfect environment to learn, grow and evolve. The organizers care and speakers are the best. My experience continues to inspire me."
— Sue Ellen Allen, Co-founder and Executive Director, Gina's Team

Each year, ASU’s Generation Next Nonprofit Leadership Academy accepts a cohort of Arizona's top emerging nonprofit leaders for a yearlong professional and personal leadership development program. Candidates are selected through a competitive process held in the late spring to participate in this program that provides them the knowledge and tools needed to take on leadership roles within the nonprofit sector.
This 9-month program is comprised of best practice approaches to leading and managing nonprofits, from renowned professors and practitioner instructors at ASU as well as established nonprofit leaders from organizations that engage with the ASU Lodestar Center. Generation Next program days focus on enhancing relationships with corporate, foundation and nonprofit leaders and educating class members on emerging issues in the sector. This program also focuses on personal leadership development of the individual. Ideal candidates should be seasoned nonprofit executives or those serving nonprofits.Click here for more information about all of our amazing Generation Next leaders!
