Strategic Planning Boot Camp (NMI 227)

This two-day boot camp (NMI 227) will provide participants with an intensive, hands-on experience using the most current practices for effective strategic planning in any nonprofit organization. The course will focus on the strategic business aspects of a nonprofit organization.

You will learn:

  • how to assess the internal and external factors that influence the success of your programs;
  • how your organization can create value for your clients; and
  • ways to explore alternate futures scenarios for your organization and create strategic alternatives.

Example tools you will learn to use during the course:

  • PESTEL (for scanning the external environment)
  • SWOT (for scanning the internal environment)
  • Value Disciplines for a client-focused approach to planning
  • Scenario Planning
  • Steps for Change Leadership

In just two days, you will learn innovative ways to create a strategic plan... leave this boot camp with a “Next Steps” Action Plan to use for implementing what you have learned.
