Scenario Building and Contingency Planning Workshop
How to anticipate and plan for disruption
While we cannot predict the future, we can, as nonprofit leaders, begin to anticipate how to adjust to a variety of major and minor shifts in our strategic plans and budgets so that we are equipped to make difficult, complex decisions in the months ahead. Building potential scenarios and backup plans can give staff leaders, boards and funders the confidence needed to press on and continue to deliver the programs our communities need. In conjunction with this virtual session, participants will receive access to a turnkey set of scenario planning tools to use in your planning process. This virtual workshop will address:
- Guiding principles for successful scenario planning processes
- Participatory processes organizations can use to weigh options, implications and trade-offs
- Questions to consider when accounting for key revenue and expense drivers
- Tips for using the templates provided in the toolkit to undertake scenario planning
This workshop continues our series with Fiscal Management Associates from last month's 28th Annual Nonprofit Conference on Sustainability Strategies. We hope you can join us for this fantastic learning opportunity.
When: Monday, November 23, 2020, from 1-3 p.m.
Registration is now closed.
