This course will provide you with a foundation for human resource management, including complying with federal and state employment laws and compensation systems. You will learn practical and lawful strategies to develop human resource policies and job descriptions, retention strategies, and appropriate staffing structures.
In response to significant feedback regarding online course delivery during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved the delivery of all NMI courses to a hybrid model consisting of both Asynchronous learning (self-paced with deadlines indicated in the course materials) and Synchronous Zoom Instructional presentations (attendance with your instructor and other students at a specific time). The asynchronous portion of this course runs for 14 days and requires a minimum of 8-14 hours of engagement per week.
There is one, two-hour synchronous Zoom Instructional class scheduled each week (two classes total per course). You are encouraged to participate in those scheduled activities when possible. Please note that the Zoom classes are scheduled on Mountain Standard Time (Arizona time).
All courses consist of article reading, discussion questions, authentic assessments, and self-tests to enhance learning and build upon prior knowledge.
For participants seeking individual courses, Early Bird pricing is $315. Early Bird pricing ends two weeks prior to the course start date, after that the course fee is $349.
