Become a Partner Organization

Public Allies Arizona is accelerating impact by advancing new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofit and civic participation. Join the movement and become a Partner Organization today!

We will place a talented, diverse young adult(s) in full-time service at your nonprofit. Together we share in training and shaping these emerging leaders while, in return, they serve on-site at your organization.

Part 1: Review the Info Booklet

Make sure you've carefully read the PDF icon 2019-20 Partner Organization Info Booklet. Partners must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, foundation, school or public agency committed to working to improve the greater Phoenix community.

Part 2: The Application Process

Who you are

To begin the application process, you'll provide general information about your organization and the ways we can partner. You will also review the program policies and requirements.

This section includes the Capacity Assessment, a tool for reflecting on your organization's capability to complete specific activities and how Public Allies could help build your capacity.

Who you need

Here, you will develop one or more Ally Position Descriptions. These descriptions outline how the Ally will help build capacity and specify Service Objectives and projects for the Ally.

In the final section, you'll download and complete a few administrative forms and upload some documentation about your organization, its status and its policies.

Part 3: After you apply

Public Allies will review all completed applications and Ally Position Descriptions and conduct site visits to newly selected Partner Organizations to determine adherence to Public Allies and AmeriCorps regulations and to clarify mutual expectations prior to any approvals and placement of Allies. The site visit will also include an interview with prospective Ally Supervisors.

The matching process will take place throughout July, and mandatory trainings for Partner Organizations and Allies occur in August. The Public Allies cohort year begins at the start of each September. Review the Info Booklet for additional details and a full timeline.
