Senior level managers and executives are invited to participate in the “Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate,” which is offered in a cohort format to promote skill-building and robust peer networking. Course facilitators are current and former CEOs and executive directors of nonprofit organizations with a vast amount of combined experience as change-making practitioners in the field. A variety of instructional methods are used to provide engaging, practice-oriented learning experiences that are focused on knowledge, skills, and techniques that can immediately be implemented in your non-profit organization.
Class VII of the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation's American Express Leadership Academy graduated from their nine-month development program on May 8th at the ASU Kerr Cultural Center. Building on the American Express Foundation’s continued investment over the past six years, Class VII expanded from a previous cohort size of 25 participants to over 30 robust and diverse participants from across Arizona and included several programmatic enhancements such as 360-degree feedback assessments and one-on-one executive coaching.
Public Allies Arizona, a program of the ASU Lodestar Center, held its annual Presentation on Impact Series on May 13th and May 20th in Phoenix, Ariz. The Public Allies cohort planned and implemented service efforts in four focus areas: Volunteer Coordination, Youth/Academic Success, Individual Self-Efficacy and Community and Family Support. These “Presentations on Impact” offered the Allies a chance to report on the work that they have completed in their nonprofit apprenticeships over the last 10 months to positively impact the community in each focus area.
